VICE-CHAIRMAN of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received a delegation led by Maj-Gen Yang Yang, Acting Director-General of the Intelligence Bureau of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China at Bayintnaung Guest Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they openly discussed friendly relations and cooperation between the two armies and other proper cooperation in peace, tranquillity and development programmes for border areas. They also exchanged gifts and had a documentary photo taken together.
Also present at the event together with the Vice-Senior General were Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and senior military officers of the office of Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Acting Director-General of the Intelligence Bureau of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China was accompanied by Chinese Military Attaché Senior Colonel Wang Wei and other relevant officials. — MNA/KTZH
