Political parties allowed to be established continue applying for registration

THOSE who want to establish a political party are applying to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they want to establish.

To date, 13 groups have applied for the right to establish a party. Out of the groups that applied for this, five political parties have been allowed to established.

Among the five political parties allowed to be established, the Shan and Ethnic Democratic Party (White Tiger Party), and Democratic Party applied to the Commission yesterday to register as political parties under the Registration of Political Parties Rule 7 within 30 days from the date of approval for the establishment of the party.

The Union Election Commission is processing the verification.
