MMPO, departmental officials hold coord meeting to host fundraising event for Mocha victims

A coordination meeting between the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization (MMPO) and the departmental officials to organize a grand fund-raising concert for Mocha victims was held at the MMPO in Bahan Township, Yangon, yesterday morning.

The meeting was attended by Yangon Region Advocate-General U Htay Aung, departmental officials, the MMPO Patron and Chairman, film directors and responsible personnel of the MMPO, the Myanmar Music Association, and the Myanmar Theatrical Association.

First of all, Yangon Region Advocate-General U Htay Aung and the MMPO Chairman gave their opening speeches.

The grand fund-raising event will take place from 6 to 9:30 pm for three days from 2 to 4 June. The arrangements for YBS bus lines and taxis to facilitate the transportation of the audience, the preparations for the public to donate before and during the event, the entertainment programmes, and the process to obtain tickets were presented and discussed by those responsible for each sector. Tickets for the event at the National Theatre will be available for K5,000 to K30,000 at the National Theatre and the MMPO starting 29 May. Tickets are being sold for K5,000, K10,000, K20,000 and K30,000.

Artistes from the film, music, and theatrical associations will be rehearsing for the concert on 30 May, and the funds raised from the event will be donated to Mocha victims.
