Physical and mental strength is crucial in discharging duties and taking family measures: Vice-Senior General

ONLY when they have comprehensive training will they have skills to handle modern arms and equipment in doing their tasks bravely, said Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win at the meeting with Tatmadaw members and families in Mongpyin Station yesterday afternoon.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Senior General said Armed conflicts were triggered by various concepts and attitudes such as racism, dogmatism and religionism due to the instigation of the colonialists although ethnic people reside in a single country in unity through thick and thin. Attempts were made to totally remove the Tatmadaw from the political platform.

Currently, attempts are being made to break up the Tatmadaw with political, economic, social and military attacks. To emerge misunderstanding and pressures in the international community, terrorists brutally killed some persons identified as informants but attempts were put blame on accusing the Tatmadaw of murders. Hence, all need to overcome such instigation and intimidation.

The Vice-Senior General stressed the need to take training under the timetable. Only when they have comprehensive training will they have the skills to handle modern arms and equipment in doing their tasks bravely.

Physical and mental strength is crucial in discharging duties and taking family measures. To do so, the dos and don’ts and directives have been issued for all. Reading contributes to the improvement of morale.

The Vice-Senior General coordinated with officials to solve the problems of Tatmadaw members and families.

After the meeting, the Vice-Senior General, his wife Daw Than Than Nwe and Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife presented foodstuffs, cash assistance and sports equipment for Tatmadaw members, families and maternal and child welfare association through officials.
