YANGON Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and regional ministers conducted a field study of Fishery Institute (Twantay) to ensure the implementation of directives of State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing made during his visit to the institute, on 17 February.
At the meeting hall, Institute
Principal Daw Moe Thuzar Maung reported on the need for a dormitory for
trainees and estimated for construction of the stadium while Director U Kyaw
Naing Oo of the region Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department
about the location of the entrance to the institute. Then, Economic Affairs
Minister U Myo Myint Aung and Development Affairs Minister Mayor U Bo Htay
discussed their respective sectors.
Regarding the explanations, the
chief minister said that Fishery Institute (Twantay) is established intending
to be the Fishery College of Myanmar and breed fish by conducting research
systematically. It should prepare for the trainees, fish farming business
people, and fish farm owners and construct a stadium for certain games and
sports. It also should upgrade the existing roads in addition to paving a new
way to the institute and use underground electric cables for entry and exit of
the institute and Wi-Fi devices. He then inspected the location for entry and
exit of the institute.
The chief minister and party
instructed the officials to report the estimation for repair work on the dirt
road to the Khittiya village dispensary for residents of Khittiya Ywama-Nyaung
Village-Okpo-new Khittiya village and provided cash assistance to patients at
the dispensary.
