Union Ministers, Mandalay Region Chief Minister meet business people, artistes from literary, film, theatrical and music fields in Mandalay

 



UNION Minister for Informa­tion U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo and Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung cor­dially met business people and artistes from the fields of literary, film, theatre and music at City Hall yesterday.

First, the Union Information Minister talked about the inten­tion of meeting and discussed the current political situation, peace and tranquillity, rule of law, socioeconomic development, the prosperity of the region, public participation and further coop­eration works of officials and people.

Then, the Union Commerce Minister highlighted the reces­sion in international countries, strenuous efforts not to face col­lapse from the economic sector, prevention of trade deficit, prop­er plans for imports and exports and supportive measures for MSMEs.

The Mandalay Region Chief Minister also stressed the sys­tematic measures of the gov­ernment as per the theme "Keep Moving Forward to Achieve Our Goal", and pledged to make ef­forts to ensure the development of the region on behalf of busi­ness people and artistes from the fields of literature, film, theatre and music.

The participants also co­ordinated the discussion and the Union Ministers and party enjoyed tea together with them after the meeting.

In the evening, Union In­formation Minister U Maung Maung Ohn paid homage to 36 feet high Sitagu Sanchi pagoda constructed on 2.19 acres of land in Htonebo Village of PyinOoL­win and Sitagu Sayadaw Bhadd­anta Nyanissara. During the vis­it, the Union minister provided the needed things regarding the umbrella hoisting ceremony to be held on 19 February.
