RAKHINE State Stability, Peace and Development Work Coordination Committee Chair Union Minister for Border Affairs LtGen Tun Tun Naung and Union ministers inspected the Mahamuni temporary IDP camp in Kyauktaw township, Rakhine State, on 9 February.
While inspecting the camp, the Union minister expressed that assistance will be provided for IDPs to return to their original places with a better life than the original situation and coordinated the needs.
The Union minister and party met IDPs from Kyauktaw Mahakangyishin monastery camp and other IDP camps and fulfilled the requirements. In addition, they presented cash awards to 28 teachers and 375 students, who are attending at the Myitta Uyin Charity Youth School of Kyauktaw Mahakangyishin monastery.
At the IDP camp in MraukU Shitthaung monastery, the Union minister and party met representative persons from 26 IDP camps and donated offerings to Sayadaw of the MraukU Shitthaung monastery.
Afterwards, the Union minister and party met officials and representative persons from 11 IDP camps at the Women’s Domestic Vocational Training School in Minbya township and coordinated the needs during the inspection tour at the Domestic Vocational Training School and the Youth Development Training School.
The Union minister along with the state chief minister and officials attended the coordinating meeting at the guest house of the Rakhine State government and discussed the necessary matters yesterday.
