Message from Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Union Minister for the Office of the Union Government and National Security Advisor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Mr Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the 75th Diamond Jubilee of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Russian Federation

ON behalf of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and on my own, I am pleased to extend my congratulations on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of our diplomatic relations on 18 February 2023.

On this auspicious occasion, may I reiterate that the Myanmar-Russian cooperation is based on the solid traditions of friendship and mutual respect through the test of time. During the past more than seven decades, our countries have achieved significant success in multi-sector cooperation through cordial ties as a strategic partnership.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to emphasize that our bilateral interaction and practical cooperation in several areas including the defence, trade and economic, science and technology sectors are strengthening for the benefit and well-being of our peoples.

I wish to reaffirm the commitment to further advance and deepen our cooperation in all spheres and to strive of promoting security, peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and global agenda in a cooperative manner.

With all my heart, I wish you, Mr Nikolay Patrushev, good health, well-being and success as well as happiness and prosperity to all Russian people.
