NAYPYITAW State Academy will be facilitated with modern teaching techniques, curricula and teaching aid, modern laboratory accessories and libraries on par with Yangon and Mandalay universities, said Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the inauguration of the academy yesterday morning.
The Senior General unveiled Naypyitaw State Academy and
sprinkled scented water on the plaque.
At the inauguration ceremony on the first floor, faculty
members and students of the National University of Arts and Culture and
artistes presented a Naypyitaw State Academy song with dances.
Naypyitaw State Academy aims to shape Nay Pyi Taw as an
education city and to admit the offspring of government staff and of local
people from eight townships in Nay Pyi Taw to have learning international level
modern subjects.
Efforts must be made for building the Leading University for
Wisdom to turn out scholars who can bring about applied research and enhance
the socioeconomic development of the State. It is necessary to produce physically
and mentally wellversed educated persons.
Naypyitaw State Academy is aimed to meet the standards of
Yangon and Mandalay universities with arts, science, law, economics, medical,
social and sports faculties. The Senior General expressed his satisfaction with
gathering highly qualified experts from relevant departments in Nay Pyi Taw to
give lectures to the students.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, the university will admit
students for third-year courses and then open more courses for respective
years. In addition, it will conduct master’s courses and doctoral courses so as
to turn out highly qualified human resources for the improvement of the State.
Naypyitaw State Academy will be facilitated with modern
teaching techniques, curricula and teaching aid, modern laboratory accessories

Naypyitaw State Academy must focus more on the qualification
of students than quantity. In the future, it is necessary to turn out a large
number of qualified scholars.
The Senior General stressed the need to open a doctoral
course in at least one university in regions and states and the government will
facilitate these universities to be able to conduct the doctoral courses.
The Senior General urged all to improve Myanmar’s education
standard of universities and schools across the nationas part of opening
Naypyitaw State Academy, students to learn higher education at Naypyitaw State
Academy so as to serve the interests of their local community, regions and the
State, continuously turn out the scholars at the academy for the emergence of
future leaders and good citizens of the nation and upgrade the academy to meet
the international standard.
The Senior General and those present visited practical rooms,
lecture halls and the library and viewed the scale model of the academy.
In accord with the guidance of the Senior General, the
project of the academy was commenced in Zabuthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw
Council Area this April. To be able to ensure convenient learning, the academy
was built with lecture halls, an assembly hall, academic and management
offices, laboratories and a library. As such, the offspring of government staff
in Nay Pyi Taw and those from local people will have the chance to pursue
higher studies at the academy.
