MoST Union Minister meets Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russian Federation

 

ACCOMPANIED by Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Lwin Oo and officials, the Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw of the Ministry of Science and Technology currently in the Russian Federation to attend a research trip and the 12th ATOMEXPO-2022 International Forum met Minister of Science and Higher Education Mr Valery Falkov at the meeting hall of the ministry on 14 November.

Both parties discussed matters relating to sending Myanmar scholars to the Russian Federation, increasing the number of scholarships, cooperation between universities and Myanmar-Russia cooperation in science and technology development.

The Myanmar delegation also met university officials led by Rector Alexander Bryukhoveskovoe of the National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) and discussed scholarship matters.

The Union minister and officials met university officials led by Rector Vladimir Schevchenko of National Research Nuclear University (MEPHI) and had discussions on science and technology and human resources development.
