STATE Administration Council member Mahn Nyein Maung conferred the religious titles for 2022 on the Sayadaws together with Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo, state Chief Justice Daw Khin Swe Tun, state cabinet members and relevant officials yesterday.
First, SAC member Mahn Nyein Maung
and party attended the ceremony to present the religious title to Sayadaw
Bhaddanta Candima of Kyonpe Pariyatti Kanna Monastery in Kyonpe Village of
Hpa-an Township. They took the Five Precepts from the Sayadaw and presented
religious matters.
He then offered Agga Maha Saddhamma
Jotikadhaja title, and offerings and donation of SAC Chairman Prime Minister
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his family to the Sayadaw.
They listened to the sermons
delivered by Sayadaw Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Candima and
shared the merits they gained.
At noon, SAC member Mahn Nyein Maung
conferred Agga Maha Pandita and Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja titles and
offertories and donations of SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min
Aung Hlaing and his family to two Sayadaws — Sayadaw Bhaddanta of Tejinda of
Moekal Monastery and Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vicara at Moeke monastery in Hpa-an
Township.
Before the occasion, they took the
Five Precepts from State Sangha Central Working Committee member Agga Maha
Saddhamma Jotikadhaja title recipient Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vicara of Kanni
Monastery.
They also shared merits after
listening to the sermons of Kanni Monastery Sayadaw.
Then, SAC member Mahn Nyein Maung and
party inspected the Hpa-an detour, which connects three junction roads of the
Thanlwin Bridge and Hlakadaung Village, passing through Mount Zwekabin and
Kyainn valley. During the visit, Kayin State Highways Department Director U
Aung Nyo and officials reported on the road construction, and he instructed the
necessary things.
They also went to Hpa– Me natural
park and instructed state municipal officials to develop the tourism industry
in the post-COVID-19 period.
Finally, they arrived at the Zwekabin
park and inspected the upgrade works in the park.
