New Year wish from SAC member U Khin Maung Swe

Dear people,

Now is the time for the Myanmar New Year. I wish all the people of Myanmar a happy and prosperous New Year. Today, we, the people of Myanmar, are still going through a political crisis. Therefore, I would like to say that it is time to overcome this political crisis completely. We must, therefore, refrain from any action that leads to disintegrating the country and attempting to destabilize the country. There is no denying that these can only be achieved through the people.

Dear people,

I want to say that this is when national unity among ethnic groups is in great need. I would like to urge you to cultivate patriotism to get rid of the external influences that are to disintegrate the country and cause dissension among the people.

Dear people,

We can only sustain if we all fight against the dangers that will destroy the languge and religion and endanger people’s lives and property. That is why we can say that we need a lot of people’s strength. Indeed, the people of Myanmar long for peace. I urge the people to go through the proper political elections and build a new Union based on democracy and federalism that the people want, along with peace. May all the people be healthy and prosperous.
