THE passing out parade of the 125th Intake of the Defence Services (Army) Officers Training School (Bahtoo), Thiha Company, took place at the parade ground of the school yesterday morning, with an address by Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Thray Sithu Soe Win, on behalf of Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Min Aung Hlaing.
The Vice-Senior General took the
salute of the cadet companies and inspected them. The Vice-Senior General
presented the silver sword award to Best Cadet Award winner Cadet Aung Min Thu.
In his address, the Vice-Senior
General said in the modernization process, the armed forces must have completed
with combat power and company abilities. Hence, emphasis is being placed on the
development of human resources for the emergence of qualified and capable
Tatmadaw members. Some of them are sent abroad for learning further studies in
military arts, military technologies and other literary fields in order to
improve their individual capability.
The Vice-Senior General noted that
all cadets need to understand that the State Administration Council controlled
all measures with the most minor force and the lowest level of response under
the State Constitution and declared the military administration in just six
townships of Yangon Region. As training will bring skill, confidence, health,
fitness and courage, all cadets need always to take systematic training in correct
techniques without fail.
During the training period, basic
knowledge about leadership and ethics is given to the trainees. Leadership is
to implement the missions assigned by the superiors together with the
subordinates. Hence, they have to be a model for all in order to give good
leadership and forge the good commander spirit and the spirit of the parent
over the subordinates.
For all military personnel who joined
the Tatmadaw with the basic spirit of defence, the State must strengthen the
existing spirit. If they are weak, their combat power will decline. So, they
all need to strengthen their spirit. As all Tatmadaw members join the Tatmadaw
with the noble spirit to defend the State and the people, they should set their
visions with firm beliefs and concepts in discharging the duties.
The Vice-Senior General noted that
the Tatmadaw would emphasize the tasks in accord with the agreements in the
Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement-NCA while restoring the perpetual peace under
the six-point principles of peace for ensuring peace and stability, and
development of the State.
The Vice-Senior General recounted
that the Prime Minister set 2022 as the peace year. And the National Solidarity
and Peacemaking Negotiate Committee hold meetings on perpetual peace with the
NCA signatories and NCA nonsignatories. The Vice-Senior General urged all
cadets to dutifully serve the assignments contributing to the processes of
restoring perpetual peace.
Next, the Vice-Senior General left
the parade after taking the salute of the cadet companies. After the parade, he
met with outstanding cadets at the hall of the Yeiktha and spoke words of
honour.
