A DONATION ceremony of anti-COVID-19 equipment to Myanmar was held at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport yesterday.
The medical supplies were donated
by Cambodian government and its people to help Myanmar battle the COVID-19
outbreak.
The three special flights carrying medical
supplies donated by Cambodia to Myanmar arrived at Nay Pyi Taw International
Airport.
During the ceremony, Cambodian
Health Minister Professor Mam Bunheng read the greeting message of Cambodian
Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to Chairman of the
State Administration Council Prime Minister of the State Senior General Min
Aung Hlaing. In his message, the Prime Minister of Cambodia extended best
wishes for all Myanmar people. There is prolong bilateral relationship between
the two countries and proper cooperation in regional peace, security and
development programmes via ASEAN community.
Currently, as the whole world faces the health
and security related challenges due to COVID-19, Cambodia donates such
materials to help Myanmar fight against the pandemic.
It can bring the regional peace, security and
development in addition to the proper unity and socio-economic development via
Cambodia-Myanmar bilateral relationship.
Then, the Cambodian Health Minister
handed over the COVID-19 protective gears to Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win.

expressed words of thanks for the donation.
The Cambodia donated three millions
of masks, 500,000 COVID-19 AG sets, 2,000 PPE suits, 100 Oxygen Concentrators,
20 Ventilator Machines and 20 Patient Monitors and accessories.
The donations include US $ 100,000
donated through the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance and
another US $ 200,000 donated by the Government of Cambodia to Myanmar.
The ceremony was attended by Permanent
Secretary of th Ministry of Foreign Affairs U Chan Aye, Directors-General, and
senior officers of Cambodian Health and Foreign Affairs.
