Nay Pyi Taw achieves over 30 pc matriculation exam pass rate

 

THE matriculation examination results for 2018-2019 academic year were released nationwide yesterday. High schools in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area were crowded with students and parents yesterday.

A total of 24,828 students sat for the matriculation examination at the Nay Pyi Taw Council area exams centres, and of them, 7,662 or 30.86 per cent passed the exam, with a total of 1,000 students winning distinctions.

The result showed that there are 695 one distinction-winner, 149 two distinction-winners, 63 three-distinction winners, 43 four-distinction winners, 28 five-distinction winners, and 22 six-distinction winners.

Nay Pyi Taw Council Area saw 30.86 per cent of passing rate this year. The percentage of those passing declined compared to last year, A total of 22,389 students took the matriculation examination in Nay Pyi Taw Council area last year, and of them, 7,399 passed the exam, making 33.05 per cent of passing rate.
