National Day ceremony of Russia celebrated in Yangon

The National Day ceremony of the Russian Federation was held at Melia Hotel in Yangon yesterday evening, with Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung in attendance.

The ceremony was opened with the Myanmar and Russian national anthems.

Afterwards, Russian Ambassador Dr. Nikolay Listopadov and Union Minister U Thant Sin Maung delivered speeches.

Next, the union minister and the ambassador had commemorative photographs taken, together with other officials. The ambassador also hosted the attendees a dinner.

Also present at the event were Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thien and wife, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air Force) General Mya Tun Oo and wife, Tatmadaw’s high-ranking officials, ambassadors and chargé d’affaires from foreign embassies in Myanmar, representatives from the United Nations, and invited officials.
