Union NREC Minister receives UN-Habitat’s Country Programme Manager

U OHN WIN, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environ-mental Conservation, received Mr. Bijay Karmarcharya, the Country Programme Manager of UN-Habitat, at his office guest hall yesterday.

They discussed the technological assistance provided by UN-Habitat and UNEP, the first phase of implementation of Myanmar’s climate change programme funded by the European Union and its accomplishments, the date for issuing the Myanmar Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan (2018-2030), how to reduce the negative consequences of climate change, and future work to mitigate and adapt to climate change in all related sectors.
