Union Attorney-General U Tun Tun Oo received Australian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr.
Nicholas Coppel at the Union Attorney-General’s guest room in Nay Pyi Taw
yesterday morning.
At
the meeting, they discussed matters related to the success of Myanmar’s transformation
to a democratic system, democracy norms and work on protecting people’s basic
rights, progress and improvement in the rule of law, cooperation between
prosecutors of the two countries on cross-border crimes, including drugs,
strengthening a free judicial system, human resources development and sending
more state scholars.
Present
at the meeting were Deputy Attorney-General U Win Myint, Permanent Secretary
Daw Nu Nu Yin and Director General Dr. Thida Oo.
