Vice
President U Myint Swe received a delegation led by Deputy Defence Minister of
the People’s Republic of Laos and Chief of Staff of the Lao People’s Army H.E.
Lieutenant General Souvone Leuangbounmy at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi
Taw yesterday afternoon.
During
the meeting, they discussed matters related to the increasing bilateral
friendship, trade and travel sectors, cooperation in sports and culture, and
increasing cooperation of the two armed forces during natural disaster
management.
The
meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for Defence Rear-Admiral Myint
Nwe, Director-General of the President office U Naing Swe Oo, International
Organisation and Economic Department Director-General U Kyaw Moe Tun, Laos
Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr Lyying Sayaxang and other officials.
