Patients who
suffered coronary artery disease were operated on by international
cardiologists under the arrangement of the sustainable medical cooperation
programme at the Zabuthiri Specialist Hospital this morning.
During the
operations, cardiologists such as Dr. Kinzo Ueda from Rakuwakai Marutamachi
Hospital, Dr.Kanji Inoue from Kyoto University, Dr. Thet Hein, Dr. Aung Aung
from the Zabuthiri Specialist Hospital and a group led by Dr. Than Htay from
the JMMHG, procedures included a coronary angiogram, a percutaneous coronary
intervention operation and the treatment of a cardiovascular support device
(Stent).
A member of the
Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee U Aye Myint and officials observed the
patients and the cardiologists during the operations. It is the seventh time
the team of international specialists performed medical procedures for the
patients who suffer coronary artery disease.
