THE
Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party
went to Tachilek Shwedagon Pagoda in Tachilek town and erected Tipitaka stone
pillars on the platform of the pagoda yesterday.
The commander-in-chief
and party also donated and installed the diamond orb and pennant-shaped vane
atop the Tachilek Shwedagon Pagoda.
On Monday,
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited the Kengtung cantonment and met with
training officers, other ranks and trainees of Tatmadaw High Grade Training
School.
The Tatmadaw
commander-in-chief said technical expertise is important in forming the
Tatmadaw into a modern standard army and that is why the knowledge of Tatmadaw
personnel is being enhanced. Similarly, the education level of the Tatmadaw’s
family members is also being raised. On health care, not only the Tatmadaw
personnel and their families but also the local populace are receiving access
to health services. “It is important for all of us to maintain our physical
fitness and to continually train to retain it,” said the Tatmadaw
commander-in-chief.
To build up the
capacity of the Tatmadaw personnel, training sessions are being provided on a
systematic basis. Trainers need to be well versed in their respective subjects
and trainees need to learn all that is being taught. Once the trainees are back
in their units, they need to use the knowledge gained at the training sessions
effectively, remarked the Tatmadaw commander-in-chief.
The Tatmadaw
commander-in-chief then presented books and journals to the training school,
where were received by the head of the school.
