State Counsellor back from China working visit

State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi who was in Beijing, People’s Republic of China for a working visit returned to Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and entourage accompanied by Myanmar Ambassador to China U Thit Lin Ohn and Ambassador of China to Myanmar Mr. Hong Liang left Beijing at local standard time 10:30 a.m. and were seen off at Beijing International Airport by International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Deputy Director Guo Yezhou, Myanmar Military Attache Brig-Gen Tint Hsan, staff from the Myanmar embassy and Myanmar Military Attache’s office and officials.
The State Counsellor and entourage arrived at Kunming International Airport at local standard time 2 p.m. and went to Best Yuehang Hotel in Kunming with a motorcade for a brief rest.
Afterwards, the State Counsellor and entourage departed from Kunming International Airport on a special flight and was seen off by Yunnan Province Vice Governor Chen Shun, Myanmar Ambassador to China, Myanmar Consul-General, staff from the Myanmar embassy and Myanmar military attaché’s office and officials.
