At the invitation of H.E. Mr. Tadamori Oshima, U Win
Myint, Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw who is now in Japan, and party arrived at the
Building of House of Representatives of Japan at LST 10 am on yesterday,
welcomed by H.E. Mr. Tadamori Oshima. Afterward, Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw and
party met with Speaker of House of Representatives of Japan and party at the
Special Guest Room.
In the meeting, upgrading friendship and cooperation
between Japan and Myanmar Parliaments, continual promotion of investments
designed for Myanmar’s development, democratic transition of Myanmar, Internal
Peace and National Reconciliation and matters on legislation of the parliament
were respectively discussed.
After that, the Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw and party
visited round the Building of the House of Representatives, explained by
responsible officials.
At LST 10:45 am the Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw and
party met with H.E. Mr DATE Chuichi, Speaker of House of Councillors of the
National Diet of Japan at the Special Guest Room, negotiating matters
on upgrading friendship and cooperation between
Japan and Myanmar Parliaments and matters on legislation of the parliament.
Following that, U Win Myint and party visited round
the parliament building.
At LST 6:30 pm Speaker of House of Representatives
gave a special dinner party to Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw in honour, at the
Speaker grand residence.
At 2 pm, Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw and party arrived
at Keidanren (Japan Business Foundation), discussing with Mr KOBAYSAHI Ken.
Together with U Win Myint, Speaker of Pyithu
Hluttaw, U Win Myint Aung, secretary of the committee on citizens’ fundamental
rights, Pyithu Hluttaw, U En Hton Khar Nawsum, secretary of the committee for
implementation of national affairs and internal peace, U Tun Tun, committee
member of the government’s guarantees, pledges and undertakings, U Tun Myint,
committee member of citizens’ fundamental rights,
Thura U Thet Swe, Pyithu Hluttaw representative and
U Thurein Thant Zin, Myanmar Ambassador to Japan and responsible officials from
the Office of Pyithu Hluttaw.
