THE ASEM Senior Officials’ Meeting and related
meetings of the 13th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Foreign Ministers Meeting
hosted by Myanmar continued yesterday morning at MICC-I, Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting is attended by high-ranking officials
from regional organisations such as the ASEAN Secretariat and European
Commission and high-ranking officials from Australia, Austria, Bangladesh,
Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India,
Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lao PDR, Latvia,
Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mongolia, Myanmar, Netherlands, New
Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation,
Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United
Kingdom and Viet Nam. The ASEM Senior Official’s Meeting will be held until 19
November and ASEM dialogue partners include 28 member countries of EU, 2 non-EU
member countries, 10 member countries of ASEAN, 11 countries of northeast and
south Asia totaling 51 countries and regional organisations such as the ASEAN
Secretariat and EU it is learnt.
