State Counsellor
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and Dr Aung Moe Nyo, the Chief Minister of Magway Region
Government, held the first-ever video conference yesterday, during which
important updates in the region were discussed, according to the Office of the
Magway Region Cabinet.
“Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the State Counsellor, held video conferencing for the first time, that is, the interview through video online.
Today she held meetings with Sagaing Region, Magway Region and Mandalay Region Cabinets, who presented necessities to the State Counsellor, with the latter giving necessary instructions as to what is to be done.
There were five matters presented as to the Magway Region,” Dr Aung Moe Nyo told reporters.
The five issues included the discovery of an oil field 20 miles long and 3 miles wide that abuts the Mann Oil Land/ Mann Yaynammyay and Htauk Shar Pin Yaynammyay; failure to implement projects on confiscated lands; matters on returning confiscated land to its original owners; spending Ks3.27 billion recovered from funds for shallow hand-dug oil wells, matters on opening mini-lubricant pumps as some people have been imprisoned for selling petrol in bottles; and matters on research for finding mineral resources of great promise in the border area between Kanpetlet, Chin State and Sedoktara in Magway.
Video conferencing
is a part of the e-government process of the Government.
