First time of Rice Conference held in Yangon

The Rice Trader Myanmar Rice Network 2017 (Rice Conference) will be held in the Sule ShangriLa Hotel on 27 and 28 April led by the Myanmar Rice Federation, with the aim of reaching new export markets and to promote the quality of rice.

Officials from the Ministry of Commence, local rice traders and officials from the companies of foreign countries that purchase Myanmar rice will attend this conference. Domestic rice traders and purchasing companies from foreign countries will directly negotiate during this conference and will potentially lead to gaining new markets, it is learnt.

“It is important to make negotiations between customers and suppliers for long-term deals. The Rice Conference will be held again in a favourable time in the future” said Dr. Soe Htun, the vice chairman of the Myanmar Rice Federation.
