Two brothers
were abducted Monday when 15 armed men allegedly broke into their house and
burned it down in Phykarli Village in Maung Taw Township, Myawaddy news
reported.
The victims were identified as Phike zae and Mamud Feroz, who was
later found after a clearance operation with eleven cuts and two stab wounds,
Myawaddy said. The report said the attackers were led by men named
Gawzeeyarmauk, Juubaing, Nurusalan and Yarfit from Zinpaingnyar village.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested two displaced persons in Kotankauk village in
Maung Taw on suspicion of providing aid to men allegedly involved in assaults
in the township. The two men are now with the regional police station for
investigation.
