Rector Sayadaw offers robes to 6,538 monks

 

WITH the objective of enabling monks to pursue the study of Pariyatti scriptures peacefully and without difficulty, Rector Sayadaw Dr Nandamãlãbhivamsa offered Waso robes on 26 September, out of loving-kindness, to 6,538 venerable monks observing the Buddhist Lent at 57 monasteries and Buddhism learning centres, according to reports.

As part of the offering, Waso robes were respectfully donated to Sayadaws and monks from 57 monasteries and Buddhism learning centres across Yangon, Sagaing and Mandalay regions, including 2,050 monks at New Masoyein Monastery.
