DEPUTY Minister for Construction U Myo Myint, together with members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, inspected the reopening of basic education schools and school health programmes in Falam Township.
At the No 3
Basic Education Post-Primary School, Falam, the deputy minister met with the
principal and teachers, coordinated necessary support, and observed health
check-ups conducted by the School Health Department under the Public Health
Department, including eye examinations, dental check-ups and personal health
screenings for students.
He also
visited Basic Education Post-Primary School No 1, where he met with local
elders, the principal, and teachers, addressed their needs, and observed
students in class. Support allowances were made to teachers and students.
A total of
282 basic education schools are currently operating across Tiddim, Tonzang, and
Falam townships, where 1,247 teachers are educating 20,314 students. This
includes Falam Township alone, which has 113 operational schools staffed by 284
teachers for 3,440 students.
