A ceremony was held on the evening of 10 June at a local battalion in Thaton, Mon State, to warmly welcome back frontline soldiers who returned after completing operational and security duties in Kayin State aimed at maintaining national stability and regional peace.
The welcoming event was attended by officials from the South-East Command,
departmental officials, members of the Myanmar Police Force, the Myanmar War
Veterans Organization, people’s militia groups, and the local populace.
The returning soldiers, who had served day and night tirelessly on the front
lines to ensure the safety, security, and peaceful livelihoods of citizens
across various regions and states, were warmly greeted with Eugenia sprigs,
accompanied by traditional ethnic music and dance performances.
An official from the South-East Command delivered a congratulatory address to the returning soldiers and presented them with honorary cash awards.
