Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker and members arrive in Moscow, Russia

 

At the invitation of Mr Igor Sergeyenko, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Belarus, and Mr Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, accompanied by officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw Office, departed Yangon on 19 June and arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, at 9:25 am local time.

They then continued their journey to Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, where they arrived at 7:15 pm local time. At the airport, the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker and his delegation were welcomed by Mr Sholban Valerievich Kara-ool, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma of Russia, officials from the Belarusian Parliament, Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Myo Moe Aung, and embassy staff.

Afterwards, in a private lounge at the airport, they held discussions on the friendship among Myanmar, Russia, and Belarus, inter-parliamentary cooperation, and the establishment of parliamentary friendship associations to further strengthen cooperation.
