Officials from the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) attended the ASEAN-China Member Friendship Associations Meeting, which was held from 25 to 28 May in Huaxian, Anhui Province, China.
The meeting
was hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign
Countries and also featured the 5th ASEAN-China Friendship Association
Presidents’ Meeting. A delegation led by U Tin Oo, Chairman of the
Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central), together with three executive
members, attended the event.
In
conjunction with the meeting, a commemorative ceremony was held to mark the
35th anniversary of ASEAN-China relations and the 20th anniversary of the
establishment of the China-ASEAN People-to-People Friendship foundation.
During the
ASEAN-China Member Friendship Associations Meeting, participants discussed
regional development and cooperation under a win-win approach.
Discussions
also focused on advancing from a strategic partnership towards building a
community with a shared future, as well as formulating work plans for 2026-2028
aimed at further strengthening friendship ties and expanding cooperation
initiatives.
