Troops returning from security duties and military assignments in the Kyaukphyu area of Rakhine State were warmly welcomed at the Ye Mon cantonment area in Hlegu Township on Tuesday morning.
The welcoming ceremony was attended by Yangon Command Commander Brig-Gen Tin Min Latt, along with responsible personnel, officers and other ranks, family members, departmental officials, artistes, members of the Myanmar Police Force, war veterans, teachers, students and residents.
Participants greeted the returning troops with sprigs of Eugenia, victory garlands and traditional musical performances, in recognition of their service in support of national security and regional peace across various states and regions of Myanmar.
The commander later presented honorary cash awards to the returning troops.
