DME warns of scams on matriculation results

THERE are scams on matriculation exam results, said the Department of Myanmar Examinations. The public attention to the exam results has recently mounted, and there are people who are taking advantage of it and trying to take advantage of it on social media pages by offering a service to see the result prior to the official release date, it said. Those people would first try to convince individuals that they would help with unpaid service to see the exam results. Then, they would claim the student had failed in the exam, but they could help him or her to be included on the pass list or get a distinction if they are paid.

Even though some people mislead the public by using about 3-4 social media accounts as a scheme and such cases are found every year, it said. To search for exam results easily online, the department uses its official websites only. In addition to the system that enables downloading exam result files, a new website was launched in 2025. Except for official websites, the department has provided no application for seeing the exam result, it said. All applications that have been circulated are unofficial, not guaranteed to be accurate and pose a privacy risk, it said.

The department is working to upload the results to its website https://result.dme. gov.mm. Under the methodical and structured arrangement, it affirmed that there is no possibility of a leak in exam results before the official announcement. Therefore, these unofficial services for seeing the exam result are absolutely fraudulent, and parents and students should be fully aware not to fall for their tricks, it urged.
