The Information Team of the National Defence and Security Council announced that, effective from 25 March 2026, all government officers and staff are required to perform their duties from their respective homes or hostels every Wednesday, rather than commuting to their offices in order to cut fuel consumption. Moreover, private sector organizations and workplaces are also encouraged to follow the example of government departments by implementing “work from home” arrangements to the greatest extent possible.

State in good health
The
Information Team of the National Defence and Security Council stated that the
Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State
Security and Peace Commission, and Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services,
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, was diagnosed with lumbar spondylosis
accompanied by spinal stenosis caused by nerve compression. He consequently
underwent a two-hour emergency surgical procedure on 20 March 2026, and the
surgery was successful; the Senior General is reported to be in good health. He
continues to carry out his State and Tatmadaw duties.
Pyithu
Hluttaw establishes Bill Committee, Public Accounts Committee
The first
regular session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw continued its second-day meeting at
the convention hall of the Pyithu Hluttaw at Hluttaw Complex in Nay Pyi Taw and
formed the Bill Committee and the Public Accounts Committee.

Acting
President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace
Commission Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the meeting on the
sufficient supply of fuel and efficient consumption.

The Pyithu
Hluttaw approved the establishment of the Bill Committee and the Public
Accounts Committee, and the programmes to form the Hluttaw Rights Committee and
the Government Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings Vetting Committee, at its
third day session.

Hluttaw forms standing committees
The first
regular session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw continued its session on the
second day at the convention hall of the Amyotha Hluttaw at the Hluttaw Complex
in Nay Pyi Taw, and it established the Bill Committee, the Public Accounts
Committee, the Hluttaw Rights Committee and the Government Guarantees, Pledges
and Undertakings Vetting Committee.

Commander-in-Chief Vice-Senior General Soe Win inspected the full-dress
rehearsal of the parade columns, which will participate in the parade of the
81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day on 27 March 2026, at the Nay Pyi Taw
Parade Ground. 27 March Outstanding individuals honoured The Acting President
of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar conferred the Thura Title, Gallantry
Medal and Ye Bala Medal on the relevant individuals for their excellent
performance in serving the defence and security duties of the State.

As a gesture

the square of Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw.
