Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace Commission Chairman Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted a dinner and reception in honour of the 78th Anniversary of Independence Day on the lawns of the National Defence and Security Council office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.

were welcomed by Commission member Prime Minister Zeya Kyaw Htin Thray Sithu U
Nyo Saw and his wife, Union ministers and their wives at the dinner.
The Senior
General and his wife cordially greeted representatives of political parties,
Ambassadors and Chargés d’Affaires ad interim of foreign embassies, honorary
consuls and guests who attended the dinner.
The Senior
General and his wife together with attendees to the dinner enjoyed the
fireworks.
The Senior
General and his wife had the dinner together with attendees. Before and during
the dinner, artistes from the Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of
Information and those from the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of
Religious Affairs and Culture performed song entertainments.
The Senior
General and his wife and party watched the variety dance at the honorary hall.
After the entertainment, the Senior General and his wife presented the flower
basket to the artistes.
Also present
at the dinner were Commission Vice-Chairman Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi
Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win, Commission member Executive Chief U Aung Lin Dwe and
his wife, Commission Secretary General Ye Win Oo and his wife, Union-level
dignitaries and their wives, Union ministers and their wives, senior Tatmadaw
officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers,
Ambassadors and Chargés d’Affaires ad interim of foreign embassies and honorary
consuls, representatives of political parties, and guests.
