Union Minister attends SEAGF Council Meeting to prepare for 33rd SEA Games in Thailand

 


Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and for Hotels and Tourism, and Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, and responsible personnel attended the South-East Asia Games Federation Council (SEAGF) Meeting held yesterday morning at the Grand Four Winds Hotel to prepare for the successful holding of the 33rd South-East Asian Games.

At the meeting, Dato’ Seri Chaiyapak Siriwat, CEO of the SEAGF Office, delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by speeches from Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, and Honourable Assistant Professor Pimol Srivikorn, Chair of the SEAGF Council and President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand.

Subsequently, leaders from 11 participating countries discussed the necessary preparations to ensure the successful organization of the 33rd SEA Games.

In addition, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, together with Yangon Region Social Affairs Minister U Htay Aung, visited the National Broadcasting Service of Thailand in Bangkok. They observed the coordination efforts being made to enable MRTV, MRTV-4, and Hey Play to receive and broadcast news coverage of the Games. Officials emphasized the need to broadcast competition updates in real time, allowing the people of Myanmar to follow the events live and support their athletes.
