Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace Commission Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepts Credentials of the Pakistani Ambassador.
Ambassador
of Pakistan to Myanmar Mr Tariq Karim presented his Credentials to Acting
President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace
Commission Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the Credentials Hall of
the Office of the National Defence and Security Council in Nay Pyi Taw at 10 am
yesterday.
Afterwards,
they cordially discussed the plans of Pakistan to send the electoral
observation teams to the multiparty democratic general election to be held in
Myanmar soon.
Moreover,
they exchanged views on strengthening diplomatic relations between the two
countries, efforts to enhance friendship and cooperation, promotion of
cooperation in trade, economic, defence, health and political sectors, and
further promotion of cooperation in religious and tourism sectors. They also
emphasized promoting bilateral cooperation in the departments of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs between the two countries.
After
the meeting, the Senior General and the Ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar had
documentary photos taken.
Also
present at the ceremony were Secretary of the Commission General Ye Win Oo,
Commission Member Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and
Director-General U Than Htwe of the Protocol Department.
