THE government continues to conduct joint operations in the Shwe Kokko area and the KK Park area, where suspects commit telecom fraud and online gambling activities. The combined teams comprising security personnel and administrative bodies are involved in these operations, which include entering the areas, dismantling and removing illegal buildings, and taking further action in accordance with the law. To date, a total of 308 illegal buildings have been demolished in the KK Park area.
Yesterday,
the authorities demolished 11 illegal buildings in Section 3, and a total of
160 buildings out of 425 buildings in Section 3 have been destroyed, and a
total of 308 buildings out of 635 illegal buildings have so far been demolished
in the KK Park area.
The
combined team conducted a surprise check in Myawady yesterday, and arrested 75
Indians, 58 males and 17 females in Ward 2. They were detained at the Myoma
Sports Stadium on the Hlaing Hteik Khaung Tin Road in Ward 4, Myawady.
Moreover, the authorities found five three-storey buildings and three
one-storey buildings, totalling eight buildings in Ward 3, and one three-storey
building was destroyed yesterday, totalling two buildings.
Moreover,
the authorities verified 10 Chinese nationals, one Vietnamese, seven
Ethiopians, eight Indonesians and two Filipinos, totalling 28 individuals
yesterday.
The
authorities systematically destroyed the seized materials and continued the
operation to expose the offences yesterday in KK Park and Shwe Koko.
The
government considers the eradication of telecom fraud and online gambling
crimes as a national responsibility and, to ensure that such activities can no
longer operate within Myanmar, will continue its efforts in coordination not
only with domestic forces but also with the governments of neighbouring
countries.
