CBM Governor meets Chinese Ambassador

 

Central Bank of Myanmar Governor Daw Than Than Swe received Ms Ma Jia, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, and her delegation at the meeting hall of the Central Bank of Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

Both sides held frank and cordial discussions on the use of the Chinese yuan in the investment and banking sectors, measures to facilitate smoother payments for investment and trade conducted in yuan, and ways to enhance and implement financial and banking cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar and officials concerned.
