To all the esteemed monks, all ethnic people across the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on behalf of myself and all members of the People’s Party of Myanmar Farmers and Workers (PPMFW), we extend our heartfelt wishes and prayers for your good health, peace of mind, and well-being.
Our party
represents the primary forces of the nation – the farmers, workers, and
labouring people – and is organized with the coordinated participation of
intellectuals and intelligentsia. We are committed to continuing our efforts to
ensure that the population in the basic strata truly receives legal protections
to escape poverty, and to build a modern, developed, and prosperous nation to
keep abreast of other countries.
I will
present the prioritized political policies of our party. It is:
To establish
a clean, people-centred system of governance that aligns with democratic
standards, and to ensure the proper, fair, and transparent rule of law.
To establish
a good, clean, and people-centred governance system, it must be composed of the
Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the Union government formed by representatives elected
according to the people’s will and in accordance with democratic standards.
The
executive estate should be transparent, with reduced centralization of
authority, and a significant role given to experts and intellectuals with a
great farsightedness.
In upholding
the rule of law, it is not enough to strictly enforce existing laws. Efforts
must also be made to enact new laws that protect the public’s legitimate
interests, and to amend and abolish unjust or unnecessary legal provisions. The
judicial system should be free from bribery and corruption, operating
transparently and independently from executive authority. By allowing legal
support institutions to operate freely with public participation, the realm of
law enforcement will become stronger and more effective.
The internal
armed conflicts which have been occurring since the post-independence era are
an evil legacy of the nation up to now. From the era of parliamentary democracy
up to the present day, the rigid attitudes of political leaders and armed
groups have led our country to its current state of slow development. True
unity and trust can only be established when justice is upheld. It is necessary
for states and regions based on ethnic communities to ensure equal
opportunities and for everyone to share a sense of responsibility and
accountability.
The foreign
policies of the PPMFW party are independent, active and non-aligned foreign
policy focusing on the national interests. We will initiate relations with
global countries and peacefully co-exist with other countries while respecting
their sovereignty.
As the
economic policy,
We will
shape an industrialised country by strengthening the mechanized farming system.
It is
necessary to reduce the economic control of the government and to enhance the
participation of private entrepreneurs with capabilities.
We will
initiate an independent market economic system by inviting foreign investments.
At the same time, we will formulate the policies to protect the competitive
ability of ethnic entrepreneurs.
Concerning
extracting natural resources of the State, we will implement the policies for
natural resources with the farsightedness not only for the future State but
also for citizens.
It is very
important not to harm the natural environment and ecosystem. So, we will form
the financial commission for public natural resources to manage operations
transparently.
We will
create the policies that the State economy will reduce too much reliance on
extraction and use of natural resources while combining the development of
natural geographical conditions and human resources.
To put the
country on a proper economic path, it is necessary to provide support to small
and medium enterprises (SMEs) and small- to medium-sized industrial and
manufacturing entrepreneurs, reduce bank interest rates, and offer legal
protections to promote private economic and service sectors. It is the
government’s responsibility to ensure stability in banking and financial
systems and to maintain stable commodity prices. At the same time, efforts must
be made to prevent market domination by trading partner countries, improve the
technology and quality of domestic products, and explore opportunities in
foreign markets.
The PPMFW
party’s education policies aim to develop a truly understanding and proficient
education system that fosters independent and creative thinking. Policies will
be established to provide compulsory education at the primary school level and
free education at the high school level.
In the field
of higher education, restrictions will be relaxed to allow greater freedom in
learning. Education plans will be developed to increase funding, provide
sufficient teaching materials, enhance the capacity of teachers, support
educational stipends and expand opportunities for sending students abroad for
further studies.
Employment
opportunities must be created for professionals and experts at home. If so,
educated Myanmar citizens abroad can be invited home for the development of
human resources in nation-building endeavours.
It is
necessary to produce a larger number of medical professionals and nurture them
to have higher qualifications and goodwill. It is very important to initiate
the preventive measures in addition to treatment in the public health arena.
All ethnic
groups will be guaranteed their legitimate rights. In every ethnic-based state,
basic infrastructure such as roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, and economic
zones will be developed, along with improvements in health and education
support. Traditional ethnic cultures, literature, and the arts will be
preserved continuously.
Moreover, it
is necessary to guarantee the farmland ownership of farmers. Arrangements must
be made to ensure all farmers possess farmland. Current disputes on farmlands
must be resolved swiftly and correctly.
The
government must ensure that the national minimum wage for workers is set at a
level comparable to other ASEAN countries, providing support in accordance with
the law. Myanmar migrant workers abroad must also be fully guaranteed their
rights and protections in line with international labour laws.
Comprehensive
social welfare, educational and healthcare support, and future planning must be
provided for public servants who carry out the nation’s important
responsibilities, as well as for their family members.
Preserving
and protecting the principles of all religions and faiths is a historical
responsibility shared by every citizen.
With good
weather, fertile land, well-supported transport and water resources, the
presence of major rivers, sufficient maritime territory, long coastlines,
abundant natural energy resources, and a strategically advantageous geographic
location for military, economic, and broader strategic purposes, our country is
endowed with significant advantages. Being situated among densely populated
nations, Myanmar possesses a very large economic market potential.
We will work
to restore unity and harmony among all ethnic communities, and from there,
strive to openly amend the nation’s Constitution of the nation.
Therefore,
with a strong determination to serve the people, we sincerely and respectfully
urge you to support and vote for the Hluttaw candidates of our emerging
“People’s Party of Myanmar Farmers and Workers” (PPMFW).
The motto of
our party to achieve the electoral process is: –
“To meet
needs,
to prevent
injustices,
to help
those who are suffering,
and to
ensure a prosperous future for the people,
let’s
support the People’s Party of Myanmar Farmers and Workers (PPMFW).”
On behalf of
our party, we wish that all people and citizens may live happily and
peacefully, with a prosperous and secure future.
Thank you
all.
