Special train delivers 487 tonnes of cement to earthquake-hit areas

 

A special freight train has delivered steel rebars, roofing sheets, and cement required for rehabilitation and reconstruction work in earthquake-affected areas.

The train, carrying a total of 9,740 bags of cement weighing 487 tonnes, arrived at Myohaung Station in Mandalay yesterday morning. Responsible officials inspected the consignment. The cement will be distributed for use in rehabilitation and reconstruction projects across Mandalay Region.

In addition, a total of 2,229.63 tonnes of HRB 500 steel bars and 49,000 roofing sheets (4-angle, 0.33 mm) have been delivered for rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in Mandalay and Sagaing Regions.
