UNION Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win received Dr Md Monwar Hossain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar, yesterday at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
They discussed the humanitarian aid
provided by Bangladesh in response to the recent Mandalay earthquake, the
extent of destruction and losses caused by the earthquake, and the government’s
ongoing efforts in post-disaster recovery and reconstruction.
The discussion also covered existing
national social protection systems, as well as opportunities for future
collaboration between the two countries based on mutual goodwill. Both sides
engaged in a frank and cordial exchange of views.
