MoEP Union Minister inspects power distribution at Namsang substation

 

UNION Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, accompanied by departmental officials, inspected the power distribution processes of the Namsang main power substation in Namsang Township on 16 June.

During the inspection, the Union minister instructed those responsible to ensure continuous power supply at full voltage, reduce power outages and losses, conduct maintenance on electrical devices, transformers and power lines and regular maintenance works.

At noon, the Union minister met the state, district and township-level electrical engineers and staff at the township electrical engineer’s office in Taunggyi Township.

The Union minister heard the reports regarding the power supply, electricity bill collection, completed work processes in the 2024-2025 financial year, work plans for the 2025-2026 financial year, measures to reduce power losses and outages, reconstruction of power grids and power sub-stations after the earthquake in Inlay region and electrification processes.

He then pointed out the need to reduce power losses, reduce electricity bill debts and supervise the illegal use of electricity. He also cordially met staff and presented cash to them.
