Magway Health Dept, Ananda Cetana to offer eye surgery for 525 patients

The Magway Department of Public Health and Cetana Foundation have planned to offer free eye surgery to 525 eye patients in need.

The free eye surgery programme started on 17 June at Minbu People’s Hospital and Teaching Hospital (Magway).

“Magway Region Department of Public Health and Ananda Cetana Foundation will jointly provide eye surgery to 525 eye patients, with 30 people in need every day,” said Dr Aung Myint Oo, head of the Department of Public Health in Magway Region.

The Magway Region government also contributed some donations and glasses for those eye patients in need at the health donation drive event for eyes, teeth and oral care for those in need from Myothit and Taungdwingyi townships, Magway Region.
