TERRORISTS attacked the RGC-125 train, which is used to inspect the Phyu-Toungoo railway section, between Nyaungchayhtauk and Kywepwe railway stations using small weapons from the side of the Yangon-Mandalay railway section yesterday, and no one was injured in the attack.
Similarly,
the mine planted by terrorists at milepost 144/10- 11 between Nyaungchayhtauk
and Kywepwe railway stations, along the Yangon-Mandalay railway route in
Ottwin, Bago Region, exploded yesterday morning. The uptrain rail track was
destroyed, and the single rail system was adapted along the Nyaungchayhtauk and
Kywepwe route of down train rail track.
Regional
officials and security forces members proceeded to the site promptly for
inspection, and the MR staff replaced two destroyed rail tracks to reopen the
railway section expeditiously. After the maintenance, the railway section was
reopened.
Since 1
February 2021, these terrorist groups have been implicated in 175 mining
incidents and explosions within railway areas and stations, 80 blasts on
railway bridges, and 16 instances of torching stations and employee housings.
Their actions aim to destabilize the rule of law and endanger the safety of
travellers, drawing widespread condemnation from the public.
