E MPLOYEES from ministries, families, students, local people from all over the country, and MSME entrepreneurs flocked to the Union-Level MSME Product Exhibition and Competition at Tabaung Ground yesterday to commemorate the 78th Union Day, as it was the last day of the exhibition, coinciding with a holiday.
Officials at
each booth provided explanations and answered questions about local products to
visitors from various regions and states, including the Nay Pyi Taw Council
Area. Due to the large number of attendees, some local products were sold out.
Similarly,
the product showrooms of the manufacturing cooperative societies, the Ministry
of Industry, the Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC), the Myanmar Economic
Holdings Public Company Limited, and the Myanmar Oil Millers Association sold
food products and consumer goods at special prices, attracting large crowds of
buyers.
Local and
traditional foods from various regions and states were sold at low prices at
ethnic food stalls, drawing large crowds of buyers and consumers, which led to
a shortage of these ethnic traditional foods.
During the
exhibition, the Ministry of Commerce’s booth distributed rice, oil, and
chickpeas daily. Yesterday, many festival-goers were seen lining up to receive
them.
On the final
day of the exhibition, MSME entrepreneurs were making efforts to connect with
domestic and foreign markets, attract investment, and access one-stop services
from relevant ministries for the development of MSME businesses.
In the
evening, artistes from MRTV and the Department of Fine Arts performed a variety
of popular songs, providing a peaceful and enjoyable experience for visitors.
The audience was seen participating in the event both individually and in
groups, enjoying the atmosphere. Than Min Aung & Aung Min Tun/TH
