The 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China was celebrated yesterday at the Wyndham Grand Yangon Hotel. The Secretary of the State Administration Council, General Aung Lin Dwe, and his wife attended the event.
Upon arrival,
General Aung Lin Dwe and members were warmly welcomed by Ms Ma Jia, Chinese
Ambassador to Myanmar, and Chinese Military Attaché Senior Colonel Qu Zhe.
They toured a
photo exhibition commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of China.
The event began
with the national anthems of both Myanmar and China. Following this, Ambassador
Ms Ma Jia delivered a welcoming speech.
In a symbolic
gesture, General Aung Lin Dwe and Ambassador Ms Ma Jia jointly cut the
anniversary cake to mark the occasion.
The ceremony
concluded with a formal dinner hosted by the Chinese Ambassador and Military
Attaché for attendees.
