Subversive media spread fake news messing up between public and security forces

 

SUBVERSIVE media have been spreading prop­aganda on social media sites falsely alleged that security forces entered the village of Katai in Chauk Township, Magway Region, arrested one person, and took gold, money, cars, and motorcy­cles from the village.

Regarding the news, according to a security official, arresting one person from Katai village in Chauk Township and bringing gold, money, cars, and motorcycles are misinformation. The security forces are only carrying out the neces­sary security measures to prevent terrorists from entering Chauk Township.

As PDF terrorists are collecting money, for­cibly recruiting new members and abducting and killing innocent people in some villages in Chauk Township, the security forces are conducting security measures in the area. At around 11 pm on 20 July, PDF terrorists attacked the security forces in the vicinity of Hsutaw village with heavy weapons and small arms. Due to counter-attacks of security forces, those terrorists retreated to the northeast area. Therefore, in order to reduce the incidence of terrorism, the public should inform nearby security camps and security forces about information of terrorists.
