A combined team of anti-narcotics police officers raided the home of Than Oo (aka) Maung Kyaw Paing at Hlaka Village, Hlaka Village-Tract, Hpa-an Township, at 12:30 pm on 26 June and seized 55 pills of ecstasy.
Following further investigations, officials raided the home of Saw Myint Aye (aka) Youk Cho at 1 pm and seized 3,194 stimulant tablets.
Similarly, officials raided Ma Nan Myint Myint Khin’s home at 2 pm, and 100,000 stimulant pills were seized. They also searched Ma Nann Win Khin’s home in Kawthtamalein Village, Kawthtamalein Village-Tract, Hpa-an Township and found 680,000 ecstasy pills.
In addition, the anti-narcotics team searched a suspicious person named Mei Nyi Thein San at the corner of 40th Street and 69 (B) Street, Mahanwesin Ward, Mahaaungmyay Township. They seized 0.6 kilogrammes of Happy Water.
Offenders were prosecuted under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act.
